Thule SquareBar Crossbars Installation - 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe- Video

This is going to be ideal for putting a whole lot of different attachments on top, because this Tahoe does hold a decent amount of passengers, but they are going to have quite a bit of luggage if you're going on a long trip. I know my personal favorite cargo carrier is the etrailer XL. It's huge, and you're going to be able to get plenty of gear up on top, and free a bunch of space on the inside of your cab. Rhino Rack Roof Rack Installation - 2019 Chevrolet Suburban- Video

Adam: Hi, everyone, Adam, with etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Rhino-Rack roof rack system on our 2019 Chevrolet Suburban. So we do have these silver 59 inch crossbars on here right now, but we also have them in black so if you think that'll look better on your Suburban, whatever one you think, just go ahead and grab the best one for you. So, we are going to be able to put up quite a decent amount of stuff on this roof rack. It does have a weight capacity of 165 pounds, so be sure to check your owner's manual of your vehicle to make sure it's going to be able to handle that weight, but it will take any T-Track Accessory and anything that'll wrap around the bars. If you have a J Style Kayak Carrier, Canoe Carrier, or even maybe even just a Cargo Carrier just to get all that luggage out of the cabins, free up some space for some of your passengers.So, I do have the Vortex Aero Bars on here right now. more

Today on our 2019 Chevrolet Equinox, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Rhino-Rack Roof Rack System for naked roofs that's available in black and in silver. What I really like about a roof rack is that it has that OEM look to it. The bars are going to stop at the feet and be a nice flush look to it rather than those bars that are going to hang over and give you that overhang. These are the 42 inch long and 45 inch long crossbars. We'll also be using part number INXS200, these are the INNO flush feet for the Aero crossbars, particularly for naked roofs, and finally part number INK689, and this is the custom fit kit for the Chevrolet Malibu.The INNO Aero crossbars are great for carrying a wide variety of accessories on your roof and freeing up space inside your Malibu. You can carry anything from bike racks to cargo baskets to ski and snowboard carriers. The bars themselves have an aerodynamic shape to them and that, coupled with the rubber strip up at the top, is gonna cut down the wind noise and drag while you're driving, reducing the need for a fairing that you may need for square or round bars.While this roof rack system does boast more of a natural factory look to it that you would get with some vehicles, it does have a disadvantage. It does cut down the amount of space that you can install your accessories with this end cap here. more

Best 2018 Chevrolet Malibu Roof Rack Options- Video

Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the best roof rack options available for our 2017 Chevy Malibu. We'll have a Rhino Rack Vortex Aero Roof Rack system and our Yakima Jetstream Roof Rack system.We'll first start off by pointing out some of the differences between the two bars and the most obvious is going to be the length, with the Yakima Jetstream going significantly past where the Rhino Rack is. And this enables you to carry more accessories, especially in your t-track area. Now with the Rhino Rack, you can get longer bars, but you're going to have to purchase those separately.Next we'll talk about the end caps. With the Rhino Rack it does require a special tool to unlock them and remove them and you can replace this with a lock core which is sold separately. With the Yakima, it doesn't have any locks, but it simply slides off by popping off the end.You can utilize t-track accessories with both roof racks as we just mentioned, however it is a little different how they install. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Chevrolet Malibu, we're gonna be test-fitting the Yakima round bar roof rack system, consisting of part number Y00409, these are the 58-inch round cross bars, part number Y00146, these are the baseline towers for the Yakima cross bars, particularly for naked roofs, part number Y03536, and this is the round bar SL adapter for the Yakima base line, and finally part number Y06123 and this is gonna be the base clip fit kit for the Malibu.The rider rack round bar roof rack system is great for carrying a wide variety of accessories on your roof while freeing up space inside your Malibu. It can carry anything from bike racks to cargo baskets to cargo boxes. While the round bars are both durable and strong, they are gonna make noise while you drive, so you might have to purchase aftermarket bearings to cut down that wind noise and drag, which you can find on etrailer.com.These are very easy to install. They simply clamp around your existing doorframe and tighten down into place. Everything is provided to tighten this down to your vehicle as well. And at the ends of our end caps, we do have plastic knockouts, which you can remove and replace with Yakima same key system which is sold separately. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Chevrolet Equinox, we're going to be installing the Thule Roof-Rack System using the Aeroblade Load Bars with part number: THARB47 for silver, THARB47B for black, and the Rapid Crossroad Mounted-Railing Foot Packs, part number: TH450R.These crossbars are going to be great for loading up bike racks, cargo carriers, kayak carriers, cargo baskets, boxes and many other accessories.The foot packs on these are very easy to install, they grip tightly and they work with a wide variety of rails. They have an integrated tool to allow you to tighten it down, put it back into place, and there's also a location to install a lock cylinder, using part number: TH544, to secure all your accessories.The end caps flip over easily so you can access your T-slots. Simply slide out your strip, cut it to fit, put your accessories in and you're ready to use your T-slots.These 47-inch long crossbars are made of a strong aluminum that's going to be durable, lightweight and have 165-pound weight capacity. Now it is important to check your vehicle's owner's manual to ensure that your roof can accommodate those loads.It's going to add about three inches to the height of your vehicle's rails. It's going to be about five inches from the top of your roof to the top of the rail. Rhino-Rack RS 2500 Roof Rack Installation - 2018 Chevrolet Equinox- Video

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Chevrolet Equinox, we're going to be taking a look at showing you how to install the Rhino Rack RS2500 roof rack for naked roofs and it's going to include the vortex aero cross bars in silver with part number RRRS739.Now it's also available in black using part number RRRS739B.Here's what our roof rack is going to look like once we have it installed. It's going to allow us to free up space inside of our car and mount all of our gear onto the top on of our roof even without the factory side rails.Cross bars are going to be a low profile design. They are going to have a slim elliptical shape, which is going to cut down on a lot of the wind noise and drag that is commonly associated with roof racks.The bars are going to be a flush mount design so they're not going to extend past the legs of our roof rack giving it more of an OEM factory look.Now on the top of the bar here, we're going to have this rubber strip, which is going to help cut down on some of that noise as well as giving a nice sturdy surface to mount any of our accessories.Now if we pull the strip out, we can see that we can add any of our favorite T-track accessories and then we just cut the rubber strip to length.The bars themselves are going to be made out of a structural grade aluminum and have an anodized finish so that they are going to be rust proof.The legs of the roof rack are going to by nylon with glass free enforcement that are UV treated so they are going to stand up to the elements very well.A nice feature is that our roof rack system is going to include two keys and metal lock cores in each one of the legs so that we can make sure that our roof rack system is going to be nice and secure.Our roof rack system is going to be custom designed so the bars are going to be a custom length for our Equinox and it's going to come with the necessary legs and fit kit to get everything in place.Now our roof rack system itself is going to have a 165 pound weight capacity. So you just want to double check your Equinox's owners manual to make sure you don't exceed that weight rating.If you're looking to mount a ski or snowboard carrier, a cargo basket, or possibly even a kayak carrier on the roof of your Equinox, this is going to be a great option even if you don't have those factory brace side rails.It's going to be an extremely simple installation. So now that we've seen what it looks like and gone over some of the features let's show you how to get it installed.So we already have our first bar installed. Let's go ahead and put the second one on together.Our cross bars are going to come preassembled with the bar and foot packs already attacked. more
